The client contacted us during the initial phases of their major home remodel, where they completely redesigned and re-framed their home with additional living and entertaining space. They requested a simple system, with whole house control capabilities, and multiple entertainment options for the large parties they regularly host. Our response was to begin with a whole house infrastructure wiring system, where we would lay the foundation for data, phone, cable, satellite, and audio/video distribution. All of the equipment is centralized in a custom rack system, hidden nicely in the family room cabinetry, where the client can show it off as desired with a simple opening of the cabinet door. With 6 discrete zones of music, capable of playing music from two dedicated iPod docks, XM Radio, and AM/FM Radio, the music choices are endless and very simply accessible with two-way controls in every zone. A dedicated surround sound system brings the stellar video of the 65" Plasma to life with incredible audio in the great room, all simply controlled with a single remote. Similarly, in each of the 8 TV locations, a simple remote system offers selections from basic cable and shared DirecTV DVRs, or crisp Blu-ray video. To round out the comforts in this home, we integrated the climate controls, pool/spa controls, and lighting automation to include lifestyle scenes and remote capabilities using their iPhones to control these systems. As a result, the clients feel their system meets their needs for a simple and cost effective solution with all the bells, whistles, and expansion options they could ever desire.
