I don’t know what it’s like at your house, but at mine I find that we tend surf through hundreds of TV shows and movies only to find that “there is nothing on”. We watch too much nothing. I’ve wanted to do something about that for a long time, now the time has come. We did it. We cancelled our satellite service. Cold turkey. Guess what? We have survived and the world did not come to a screeching halt. Now when we watch TV we do it with a purpose. We only watch something that we really want to watch. Well, for the most part. We still have Netflix on the Wii with lots of mindless programming. If we can’t see something via our TV antenna we can look for it online. But really, we haven’t really missed much. Eventually, we will probably look into one of the streaming video box thingies—maybe. We’ll see how it goes for a while first.
If you have considered "cutting the cord" as it is being referred to, there are lots of bloggers talking about it and they provide a ton of information about how to get the programming you desire in a way that doesn’t involve the cable or satellite company. Check out what this one has to say or maybe this one.
