Abstract: The reason I bring this up is because my experience had me suggesting how the audio/video and automation business has some parallels to the automobile industry. It is my thought that if there were no car dealerships, but instead only stores that sold the parts to build new automobiles, many people would shop for cars the way they shop for audio/video and automation solutions.

Abstract: It’s truly a sad state of affairs when a marketplace will support the activities of unscrupulous individuals in their effort to make money. Even worse, it is happening to your friends and neighbors without many people even knowing they are getting taken for a ride, until it is too late. I am talking about seriously poor installation practices, which seem to be commonplace in a market that has taken on so much rapid growth, that it has made room for these clowns to practice their “craft”.

Abstract: For its 19th consecutive year, the Custom Electronics Design and Installation Association (CEDIA)held its massive industry tradeshow at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver. As the President of Surreal Systems, I view this event as one of the most important for our company to get a glimpse into the future of the industry, and capture education content that can only be obtained at this show. So instead of boring you with how much smarter we are upon taking all this education, I will dig right into the fun stuff!

Abstract: Everyone seems to be talking about the "DTV Transition" and how it will affect Television viewers in 2009. But why are there still so many people who aren't clear about what it is and how it will affect THEM? Recent polls show that there is still much confusion about the how and why related to the Digital TV transition, so let's clear some things up!
